Our Review

Limited review evidence across seven years. One resident cited broken AC and heat, outdated window units, and unprofessional management (MacLamar Management), describing it as overpriced despite attractive grounds. Another gave a brief five-star rating without detail.

Based on limited recent reviews, so treat this as low-confidence.

Most tenants praise the leasing staff, especially Gloria, for handling applications and move-ins with genuine attention. The experience sours for residents facing noise from neighbors, unaddressed complaints to management, and surprise fees like transfer charges and ESA costs. Quality varies by department. Leasing staff earn consistent five-star marks for warmth and follow-through. Living experience suffers from thin walls, smoking that seeps between units, late-night disturbances, and management's apparent dismissal of resident safety concerns.

Long-term residents consistently praise the location, affordability, and responsiveness of manager Emma. Recent reviews suggest serious disruption after a management transition, with multiple tenants unable to reach the office and reporting neglect of maintenance and cleanliness. Units include hardwood floors, all utilities, and downtown views. The community draws residents prioritizing proximity to Bishop Arts and downtown over amenities like gyms or pools. Value is high for those seeking an older building with walkable location and low rent.

Management experience ranges sharply: one recent tenant credits Maya for professional support and quality finishes, while older reviews cite months-long maintenance delays and broken promises. Pet-friendly and spacious units near downtown appeal to budget-conscious renters, but responsiveness appears inconsistent.
