Most residents find Nolen Grand a peaceful, well-maintained community with attentive staff. Quiet buildings and spacious layouts appeal to the 55+ crowd, though some report serious gaps: broken fixtures left unrepaired for months, roach problems, and absence of trash pickup despite the senior population.
The maintenance team consistently wins praise for quick, courteous work. When leasing staff are engaged, residents describe smooth, friendly experiences. However, the application process is notoriously slow, with surprise document requests months in and move-in dates frequently delayed. Some residents have encountered unfriendly or dismissive leasing agents, while others report roaches, dirty carpets on move-in, and management that becomes irritated when called to fix problems. Unit quality varies significantly between residents. Darrel and Laura are named repeatedly for going above and beyond in maintenance and admin roles. New residents express genuine gratitude for the apartments themselves, while longer-term residents voice frustration with neighbor behavior (trash disposal), broken common amenities (elevators), and inconsistent follow-through on maintenance requests after the first year. The property appears to struggle with staff consistency and handoff between friendly on-site teams and off-site decision makers.
